The Tredyffrin Library will be closed for approximately two weeks due to the installation of replacement windows and a new HVAC system in the older parts of the building.
The official dates that the Tredyffrin library will be closed have been finalized. We will be closed beginning Tuesday October 25th, and we will re-open Thursday November 10th.
*During this time, there will be no programs for children, teens, or adults. We regret any inconvenience that this causes. Our fall program schedule will continue again when we re-open on Thursday, November 10, and will run until the end of the session on Friday, November 18. If you are already registered and have been attending, there is no need to re-register when we re-open.
*Tredyffrin library items are already showing an extended checkout date. Please go ahead and keep them until that date. You can return items to another library or to the book drops in our parking lot. Items that you check out from other libraries during our closure will have their regular 1-3-week due dates.
*The library is a polling place for the election on Tuesday, November 8th. Voters will be able to come here and vote. The parking lot will be available and the front doors will be open (the main entrance, upstairs). The library itself will be closed on that day. You will only be able to access the main lobby area, the large meeting room, and the main hallway.
*For the week before and the week after the closure (Monday October 17-Friday November 18th) there will be no access to the following areas of the main floor of the building: Copy/Fax, Study Room A, Local History Room, Computer Classroom, and Study Room B. This is so that the construction company installing our new HVAC system can have a bit of extra time to begin and finish their work in the ceilings of these areas.
