1000 Books Before Kindergarten Congratulations!

Join me in congratulating our gold medal winner, Isaiah! He has just finished reading 500 books in our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Club. We see Isaiah and his papa reading all of the time in the library. They are working towards their next prize which is an adorable rubber duck reading a book. Great Job Isaiah!!!

If you are interested in joining the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Club stop by the Children's Desk and ask for your first reading log and instruction sheet. You will record all books you read with your child and your child will receive prizes for every 100 milestone they meet. You will recieve a canvas Tredyffrin book bag just for signing up.

To see the books we read in story time click on the 1KB4K tab at the top of this page and you will be directed to Goodreads. This is a site that you can join or you may just want to browse. We list all of the books we read in our storytimes so you can copy the titles from this site.

Book Bundles Are Here!

We have a new display feature in the children's department: Book Bundles! These are picture books (sometimes with DVDs and/or CDs) put together by subject, author, theme, or age, and placed on top of the A-C range in the picture book section. In general, Bundles will NOT include new or popular titles/authors.

All items in a Bundle MUST be checked out together, but you may check out as many Bundles as you like. Bundle items circulate for the regular loan periods and can be renewed (but, again, all items in the bundle should be renewed together if possible). All items in the Bundles circulate free of charge (no rental items).

Bundles are great if you are on the run and need to grab a few things for the weekend, if you are visiting the library with young children and aren't able to browse the shelves, or if you are just looking for some great books to read with your children.

If you have any questions about Book Bundles, please see Miss Michele or any children's staff member.
